  • I coach women to create life-giving ministries.

  • Before coaching women in ministry, I was The Kraft Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at United Lutheran Seminary.

  • My PhD in Biblical Studies is from Union Theological Seminary in The City of New York.

  • I grew up in the church as a deacon’s kid and am an active member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).

I know the good, the bad and the ugly of working as a church professional.

  • I became a Certified Life Coach to share the mindset work that helped me grow deeper into right relationship with myself and my neighbors in the assurance that those relationships are already given freely from God.

  • Before being a seminary professor, I spent years working with churches as a community organizer. I’m committed to liberation for all God’s people and the planet, not just in theory but in practice.

  • I focus especially on the issues of women and femmes intersectionally, meaning with an understanding of how sexism intersects with other forms of oppression like racism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia.
