I'm a seminary professor

turned feminist clergy coach

who helps you live

the most unapologetic

expression of your calling.

For years I knew "the things": set boundaries, block my time, rest on my days off, say no, take care of myself…

I checked things off my lists, kept the trains running on time at home, enjoyed socializing with colleagues...

But the second the institution got rocky, there was a busy season, or a big project had to get done?

"The things" went right out my always open office door.

I worked through my days off when “no one was bothering me.”

I said “yes” when I was already over-committed, telling myself that I’d figure out where to fit it in.

I’d go-go-go-crash, repeat.

I wondered how the work I loved had become so filled with bitterness and resentment.

I did this for 15 years as a faith-based community organizer and then as a seminary professor.

Until I finally figured out how to care for myself EVEN WHEN the dumpsters are on fire.

That’s when everything changed.

I refused to over-function from fear I would lose my job, and created a calling I actually look forward to each day.

I stopped letting my own self care fall off the calendar, and learned to advocate for my needs, even when I worry I'm being "selfish."

I ended a long-term relationship going nowhere fast and found my perfect-for-me husband. We now have a beautiful kiddo together.

I created a life and ministry where I feel truly supported and sustained.

Now I’ve helped hundreds of clergywomen do the same.
